8 integrated modules in this family

Provisions is where D1 Maritime began. That's why this family is one of the deepest implementations in the sector — a fully closed loop from menu to stock, from allowance to cost.

01

1,754-product catalogue

Dry goods, meat and poultry, fruit and vegetables, dairy, beverages, spices, cleaning and galley consumables. Every product arrives with unit, packaging, category and shelf life defined — you don't build a catalogue from scratch.

02

395-recipe database

Each recipe has its ingredient list, portion size and nutritional values defined. When a recipe is added to a menu, the required quantities are calculated automatically from headcount.

03

Menu planning

Weekly or monthly menus planned by breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. Repeat dishes, crew preferences and voyage length are all weighed together.

04

Allowance (budget based)

A daily per-person provisions budget is defined by rank. Actual spend is continually compared against the allowance; overrun or saving is visible per vessel.

05

Provision request

The request is suggested automatically from crew numbers, voyage length, the menu plan and the allowance. The cook reviews and approves the list, and the approved request enters the procurement cycle.

06

Stock management

Separate stock by store, cold room and deep freezer. Receipts, issues and balances are tracked, and groups falling to a critical level are flagged.

07

Nightly deduction

Products consumed on the day's menu are deducted from stock automatically overnight. In the morning the vessel sees the real state of the store — the burden of manual counting and correction disappears.

08

Consumption log

What was consumed, when and how much — all recorded. A per-person daily cost report is produced, and provisions efficiency can be compared between vessels.

How it talks to the other families

Provisions is a module in constant conversation with manning, purchasing and budget.

Module FAQ

Common questions

Can we add our own products and recipes?

Yes. The 1,754 products and 395 recipes are a starting library; you can add your own products, supplier codes and recipes, and edit the existing ones.

How is the allowance calculated?

A daily per-person amount is defined by rank (for example $8/person/day). The system calculates the period budget from the manning on board and voyage length, and compares actual spend against it.

Can a wrong nightly deduction be corrected?

Yes. Consumption records can be edited, and every correction is logged with who made it and when. The stock balance is recalculated after the correction.

Can the cook use these screens from the vessel?

Yes. The cook plans menus, enters consumption and raises provision requests on the screens they are authorised for. The office sees the same data ashore, and approval stays with the office.
